I have fond memories of reffing soccer as a teenager. Aside from a paper route, it was really my first job. Now when I occasionally ref, I enjoy seeing the younger kids’ enthusiasm. I’ve been lucky enough to ref games with my son and have enjoyed the bonding experience. It’s a character building exercise no matter your age! We are always in need of more refs in our club and it’s one of the few things anyone gets paid for.
A small amount of training is required to get started and it’s not always available. One such session is fast approaching on the evening of Friday February 7th and Saturday February 8th.
